Segmented puppy faces, still adorable.

My job at Taurus is going swimmingly, brilliantly, freakishly, fashionably, fantastically, awesomely, splendidly well. I don't even think I used enough positive adjectives to describe my satisfaction with my work. Playing and caring for and even cleaning up after all these friendly diverse doggies is the perfect thing for me to do, and I'm definitely loving it beyond all reason. At Taurus, we take pictures of each new dog we receive and have the pleasure of boarding, or visiting for a playday, and we make a personalized magnet for their parents. Sometimes I get to take these pictures, but sometimes I take some alternate pictures, in a style that I've dubbed 'artsy fartsy' in jest. Below are just some of these dignified pictures, featuring some very amazing pupsters :

Fletcher and his gorgeous eyes.

Fresh start, fresh dog faces.

So, in an awesome fantastic brilliant turn of luck, I am now happily consigned as a kennel technician at Taurus Training, boarding, & Doggy Day care. I while away my work days as a grunt for the dogs and the kennels, cleaning, feeding, and medicating many a friendly little beast. I'm making a fair amount of new dog friends every day, the job is relaxed and specific and feels perfect so far. It's invigorating to find an employment niche such as this, there is nothing unlikable about my duties, and providing care and a happy face for the dogs to see is a wonderful thing. I'm grateful for such chances.

So, because of the processes of general job attainment, I've paused this endeavor of dogumentation, except for the everyday cellphonic pictures of my daily buddies, which of course I wish to share:

As apparent, I hang out with hundreds of peaceable, hyperactive, lovable pups. All day. El jobbo fantastico.

Parting ways, and a wolf.

So, a big aside, I'm no longer working for Dirty Dog, but I am in timid pursuit of a position at Taurus Training, which would be an amazing oppurtunity for my life to have if I end up in that bright and exciting place. I would be working for dogs and their people in a cooperative effort instead of 'serving and observing' customers. I'm lending extreme hope to the possibility of this happening, because it would make me the most excited I've ever been about a job since...well, Dirty Dog.

Even though I've dropped the doggy locale for now, I'm still attempting to continue this 'Dog Photog' effort. I've been doing it tentatively, and even halfheartedly at times, simply because I've been surprisingly busy with life, and work. When I do get the chance to take pictures of a person's pride and joy, I feel a purpose. I feel like I'm providing examples of love, examples of beauty and bonds in the creature companion the people I meet have invested their love and care into. It's nice, I wish I was available to do it full-time, with a studio, in a greater capacity. Maybe someday.

For now, I have some snippets of something exciting: A timber wolf! Denali visited DD a little more than a week ago, when I was still in employ. Sadly, his owner didn't leave an email address, so it looks like these pictures will have to be enjoyed by whomever chances upon them here, as he listed residence in Georgetown (and partially Colorado, to visit a wolf-rehab/rescue organization -- he even had a cap advertising it!) so I have next to no way of contacting him. He did own and care for a magnificent creature, and I hope I was able to convey Denali's sweet and impressive nature through my photos of him:

He was an extremely sweet dog, and I was quite pleased to be able to pet him for awhile and talk to his owner about the experience of owning such an intelligent and raw-minded animal. I hope I see him around sometime, not just for dog services, but to play and play and see glints of fierce and wild in his every step and glance.

Zara, queen of the tub.

Saturday I had the pleasure of meeting a big beauty of a mastiff being lovingly subjected to a self-service bath, Zara is a sweet-hearted dog:

Mastiffs are such a treat to see. Zara especially, being one of the gigantic examples of an already gigantic breed. Ms. large-heart and large-everything is a whopping 160lbs. She's a rival to most people in the weight category! Paltry humans ;)

Loved having her in, hope to see her again soon!

Crazy Daisy

Tuesday I was fortunate enough to have crazy playtime with a little hyper ball of canine joy named Daisy. It was awesome. I was sad and bored after she went home with her pop.

UNfortunately, my cell phone was the only device of documentation I was wielding that day, but things still turned out pretty cute for Daisy:

She got pretty introspective on that last one, most likely contemplating home and love and the meaning of life. Oh Daisy, these photos don't do your wacky pupster nature justice, but they're adorable regardless.

I'll be posting more snippet dog blogs soon. I have more telephonic photographs from the day-to-day at Dirty Dog, of course. There's a perpetual amount of cute dogs surrounding me, and I've got the urge to dogument them! Sweet times.
